The Barnwell Garden and Art Center showcases one of the few classical plant conservatories in Louisiana.  Its towering plexiglass and aluminum dome houses a collection of plants from throughout the tropical world.   Palms, bromeliads, flowering shrubs and unusual trees and foliage plants make their home within the conservatory.  The dome provides a soothing place of reflection within the bustling downtown Shreveport riverfront.
